Deborah Dowd, LICSW, PsyaD, was President of the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP) from 2017-2020. She is on the Board of Directors, serves as a faculty member and supervisor, and served as Co-Chair of the Training Committee from 2011-2017. Deborah is on the faculty of Tufts Medical school and the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis where she teaches Object Relations Theory, Comparative Psychoanalytic Technique, Clinical Seminars, and Contemporary Relational Theory. Dr. Dowd has presented nationally and internationally, and is the author of papers on trauma, grief, and the intermingling of fantasy and (so called) reality.
