She specializes in relational psychotherapeutic modalities, trauma, and body image distress. Currently, she works in private practice and at The Body Image Treatment Clinic, London, and previously established the NHS Specialist Rhinology Psychology service at Charing Cross Hospital. Highly active in clinical education, Dr Auer is an Associate Lecturer and doctoral supervisor at the Metanoia Institute, and an independent route assessor for the British Psychological Society.
