Ruth M. Lijtmaer, PhD, is a senior supervisor, training analyst, and faculty member at the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey, USA and is in private practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey, USA. She frequently presents lectures and papers at both national and international levels. She is the author of several scholarly publications and book chapters concerning multicultural and religious issues, trauma, social trauma, transference-countertransference and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
