Stavros Charalambides (catinstitutedirector@gmail.com) is a writer, theatrical producer, playwright, and training and supervising relational psychoanalyst and group psychotherapist. He is Associate Editor of Routledge’s New International Library of Group Analysis. He served as an elected Board Member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) from 2018 to 2026 and has served on the Board of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) since February 2024. With Gila Ofer, he co-chairs the IARPP Special Interest Group on Couples, Families, and Groups.

In 2016, he founded the Greek Institute for Relational and Group Psychotherapy, where he directs four specialized training programs. His clinical and theoretical work encompasses individuals, couples, siblings, small and large groups, and institutional systems, focusing on sibling dynamics, envy, mourning, and hatred in transference and countertransference , from the analytic dyad to the multicultural social field.

His first individual book, The Envy Executioner, was published in Greek by Disigma Publications in 2022. Its expanded English edition, The Executioner of Envy: Psychotherapeutic Journeys into the Forbidden, appeared in 2026. His second book, The Enraged Slaves, was published by Disigma in March 2025. He also edited three Greek collective volumes on relational psychoanalysis and group dynamics, published in July 2023, September 2024, and August 2025, and is preparing a fourth. His forthcoming individual books address institutional illiteracy (September 2026, in Greek) and dreams in relational psychoanalysis and Yalomian group psychotherapy (January 2027).
